Noir Materials are cost-competitive alternatives to traditional thermoplastic composites with tunable biodegradability, breathtaking strength and toughness and utilities across a broad range of applications. Noir Materials are derived from any base thermoplastic employing a bio-inspired mechanism developed at the Warner Babcock Institute for Green Chemistry. This mechanism enables the compatibilization of thermoplastics with high filler loadings leading to composites with remarkable strength and toughness.
